Well, I’m going to be missing WordPress for a while. I need a month off, and I think December is the perfect time to do it. If you see posts or changes to the site, it’ll be me messing around with the settings, trying to make it better. I will, though, leave a post (page?) open for comments and discussion. I need some suggestions, because I don’t really know where to go with this blog. Not yet, anyway.

Suggest away!

Bloons… Monkey City?

Well, if you like Clash of Clans, you’ll love this game. You’re solo, and you start with a tiny little town and an entire world of terrain to conquer, with stronger bloons the farther you go. It’s just like Bloons TD 5, but so much more fun. I could go on, but let’s get this review underway.

Created, and published, by Ninjakiwi (www.ninjakiwi.com, game link in a bit), this game is the current pinnacle of bloons games. I’m not going to get into most of this, I’ll let you experience it for yourself, but there is a difference between this and the previous BTD games: You have to create your own army. You use city cash and build the homes, recluses, or whatever they’re called, for your different towers, and then a special research center for one or two different tower upgrades, then you can use whatever you have in claiming new land for more buildings.

The multiplayer element is similar to Clash of Clans, except that you can’t team up. You send bloons (which you get at level 9, don’t ask, just go play) to another player’s town and then wait for them to defend, and if you win you’ll get cash from them.

The only downside is that you have to have a ninjakiwi account to play this game. Sign up at ninjakiwi.com 🙂

I’ll have you know that if you attack MCZeph, you’ll be attacking me. Keep poppin’!

Server Review – Dungeon Realms

Wow. Time for another long-winded review post. I’m gonna go over the basics and not much else.

For starters, Dungeon Realms ( http://www.dungeonrealms.net , server connects at play.dungeonrealms.net) is a crazy big RPG style server. There are a lot of players every day, and you can interact with as many as you want. The tutorial explains a lot, so I’ll cover some of it here, but you can experience it all for yourself.

Let’s see… Okay, when you start, you’ll get the rundown on currency, weapon and armor tiers, and all the different tools. What they don’t explain is the locations: Cyrennia, Harrison’s Field, Dark Oak Forest, Jagged Rocks, etc. The first two or three locations have Tier 1 baddies, the next have T1 and T2, and so on and so forth. It’s hard to survive, but if you do, you can get some crazy good loot and weapons. The tools (pickaxe and fishing rod) have levels, and every 20 levels you get an upgrade which allows you to break/catch better items.

The currency is gems, or emeralds. There is a lot you can do with them, between upgrading your Realm, which is basically your base, or your enderchest storage, or even buying better armor and weapons. Again, there’s a lot that I can’t explain with words. You just have to go experience it for yourself. If you catch me online (shard US-3 or 4), say hi 🙂

P.S. That’s not as long-winded as I thought it would be. YAY for me!

Poetry – Love is…

I’ll occasionally write poems when I get inspired (or I’m feeling really down, whatever), and I’ll post my minor works of art here.

Love is…

Love is hard
Love is beautiful
Love makes you drop your guard

Love is strong
Love is quiet
Love can’t go wrong.

Love is unexplainable
Love is connecting
Love will never be unattainable.

Comic Update

I decided that yes, I am going to do a comic. Probably one or two updates weekly, with the writing in between, and I intend for it to be rather funny, even if I’m the only one who gets it. I’ve been reading looking through different webcomics, and I think I’m going to style mine after one I found simple but entertaining… (www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html) (WARNING: has minor language issues, but is otherwise entertaining. Over 900 pages, and still counting!)

Now, I need to find a decent computer art app… until then, hand drawn it is. -gulps- My art skills are less than stellar… -goes back to the book-writing-
